Inaugural Global Conference Brings Together 180+ Attendees

The inaugural ZTTK Global Community Conference exceeded expectations, bringing together more than 180 attendees — families, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners — for a landmark two-day event.

Day one featured presentations from leading SON gene researchers, including Dr. Erin Ahn from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Attendees heard about the latest advances in understanding ZTTK syndrome at the molecular level and emerging therapeutic approaches.

Day two focused on family connection, with panels, caregiver sessions, and activities that turned years of online friendships into real-world bonds. Fourteen sponsors and partners helped make the event possible, and the overwhelmingly positive response has set the stage for the 2026 conference in Boston.
