Nicolo's Story

“He may only say one word, but when Nicolo says "yes," he means it with everything he has.”
Nicolo arrived six weeks early at 33 weeks in Romania, spending his first weeks in the NICU before coming home to his family. They later moved to Italy, building a new life in a new country while navigating the complexities of ZTTK.
Nicolo gets around by bottom-crawling — his preferred method of mobility that gets him where he needs to go. He is nonverbal except for one word: "yes." His family says that single word carries more meaning than most people express in entire conversations.
His mother Adela-Elana now serves as a ZTTK ambassador, channeling her experience into helping other families in Romania and Italy find the support they deserve.
