Elizabeth's Story

Elizabeth was born prematurely in 2013, and in 2015 she received one of the earliest ZTTK diagnoses in the world — at a time when the condition was barely known even to geneticists. Her family calls her their "billion-dollar miracle baby."
Growing up alongside her older brother Celtan, Elizabeth has been a pioneer in the truest sense. Her diagnosis helped researchers understand more about ZTTK syndrome, and her family has been part of the foundation's story from the very beginning.
Elizabeth's journey reminds the community that every early diagnosis contributes to the collective knowledge that will one day lead to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
