Carson's Story
School Age
“He makes this world a better place simply by being in it.”
Carson was the baby his family waited eight years to welcome. Born at 37 weeks weighing 5 pounds 7 ounces, he arrived with all the hope and love his parents had been saving up.
The early months brought unexpected challenges — feeding difficulties and developmental delays that hinted something more was going on. After his first seizure, the search for answers began in earnest. In September 2018, Carson received his ZTTK diagnosis.
Today, Carson walks with minimal support and communicates through his own unique behavioral cues that his family has learned to read beautifully. He is proof that a diagnosis is not a limitation — it is simply the beginning of understanding how to support a child who experiences the world differently.
