“The day he spoke his first sentence, we knew anything was possible.”
Aleks was born in 2017 in Poland, underweight and facing severe feeding difficulties from the start. His early months were a relentless cycle of medical appointments and uncertainty.
A hypothyroidism diagnosis led to a treatment breakthrough that changed the trajectory of his development. After specialized interventions, something remarkable happened in January 2020: Aleks began to speak.
By age four, he was putting together simple five-word sentences. His mother Ola, who has been searching for answers since 2017, documents their journey on her blog — a lifeline for other Polish families walking the same path.
